What is DoneAt?

DoneAt is a work-shift countdown. You set the time you start and the time you finish. It shows the hours, minutes and seconds left, and a progress bar for the shift. Use it in the browser, on iPhone and iPad, or on a Mac or Windows PC. There is no account to create.

How do I set it up?

Pick your start and end time, then start the countdown. Those times stay on the device you are using, so the next time you open DoneAt they are already there. You can change them whenever you like.

Does it work for night shifts that run past midnight?

Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time, for example 22:00 to 06:00, the countdown treats it as a shift that crosses midnight. Opening it at 01:00 shows the shift that began the previous evening, not a new one starting tonight.

How is the money earned today calculated?

Turn on salary settings and enter a monthly or a daily figure. A monthly salary is divided by the number of working days in a month — 21.75 by default — to get a daily rate. That daily rate is then multiplied by how much of your shift has elapsed. How it works explains where 21.75 comes from and how to change it.

Will it still remind me if I close the tab?

In the browser, a reminder can fire only while the page stays open. On iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows, DoneAt can send a system notification after you leave the screen.

Does it work offline?

The countdown is calculated on your device and does not need the network. After you have opened the web timer once, it can keep working without a connection. The iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows apps work on the device you installed them on.

Is my salary information private?

Your hours and salary stay on the device you are using. They are not sent to a server, nobody else can see them, and clearing the app or browser data removes them. Next to the earnings figure there is a control that hides the amount when someone is looking over your shoulder. The web timer collects anonymous page-view and performance statistics, which contain no personal or salary data. Details are on the privacy page.

Is there an app for my phone or computer?

Yes. iPhone, iPad and Mac are on the App Store. Windows is on the Microsoft Store. The browser timer is at off.rainif.com. Choose whichever you will actually leave open.

Is it free, and is the code open?

The web timer is free to use. There are no accounts, adverts or paid tiers on the website. Source code is published on GitHub under the MIT licence. Store listings follow each store’s own price and terms.

Which languages are supported?

Nineteen, including English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi, Marathi, Turkish, Arabic, Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese. The first visit follows your browser language; you can change it from the language selector.
